Microgaming Showcases Live Dealer Product

Microgaming took its live dealer product on the road last week and showed it off at the G2E conference and Expo in Macau.
Microgaming's current offering includes live roulette and live baccarat. The games are conducted in real time by live dealers and vision form the games are streamed by a video feed in real time to player's bet interface. Cards are shuffled in real time and in player view and the roulette game includes lazer beam technology which ensures precise readings and mitigation of dealer error.
As well as showcasing their existing baccarat and roulette games, Microgaming revealed 3 new games o be launched before the end of the year...Showhand, Dou Di Zhu and Big 2. All three games are very popular in Asia, and perhaps give some insight into the direction Microgaming will be taking in terms of geographic targeting of the live dealer format.
They also revealed that their Asian language and time zone support capabilities will be beefed up with the opening of Asian-lingual support facilities in Singapore and the Philippines.
The developments come amid strong competition in the live dealer space from rival Playtech and up and comers live Evolution Gaming and 'in-house' offerings like Smart Live Casino gaining significant traction in the UK.
Microgaming's live dealer platform is eCOGRA tested and certified.
