Seasoned net gambling operator Intertops have launched a new casino aimed specifically at the US player market.
The new casino, branded Intertops Red, will operate alongside its long running existing casino that is powered by the Microgaming casino platform. The 'old' casino will be re-branded as Intertops Green.
Intertops starting accepting bets online over a decade ago and is one of the industry's longer operating and better known brands. Their original Microgaming powered casino stopped accepting US player accounts in 2008 when the operative provisions of America's Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act came into effect and Microgaming decided all it licensee casinos would have to pull the plug on the US market.
And Inertops it seems are not about to wait for Barney Frank's UIGEA repealing laws to come into effect in order to once again access the US market. Instead they have launched a new casino running on RTG software. RTG are one of the few large gaming software licensors still happy for member casinos to participate in the US market, and Intertops are about to take full advantage of this fact.
According to Intertops press releases, their two casinos will continue to run concurrently, giving existing (non-US) players access to the new RTG games as well as opening the door for US customers.
Intertops Red will be available to all US residents apart from those in Kentucky.
