Bodog's Big Milestone

Published 09 Jun 2009 by Angela Cordy

Online gambling stallwart Bodog announced this week that it had registered it has now registered 3 million players.

In a press release issued Monday, Bodog revealed its 3 millionth player was Arizona resident Charles C. Charles said in an interview with Bodog Beat that he enjoys an occasional flutter on the races or a bet on the football. He has also been interested in betting on the Lakers/Magic final series.

He lives a half hour's drive from the nearest betting shop though, so thought he'd make the transition online. "I came to Bodog for the convenience of betting live versus driving 30 miles to place a bet," Charles said.

Bodog is now looking forward to its 4 millionth customer and the 15 year anniversary of the Bodog brand.

The Bodog Group was founded in 1994 by Calvin Ayre. Ayre has since sold the brand and moved on but the Bodog Goup continues to operate a full service online gambling operation including casino, sport betting, poker, bingo, mobile casino and wagering under license from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

Bodog's profile has been enhanced by its move to continue accepting bets from US players...making it one of the few online gambling operations willing to do so.
